Sophie Tel Diaz is proud to live, work and run Backpacks for the Homeless, a 501c3 charitable organization, in Colleyville. Sophie is originally from France, she lived in Spain for several years where she met her husband Drew Diaz, a Texan, and after they were married moved to Colleyville. While Drew and Sophie were busy working and raising their family, their lives were changed forever. Their son developed a brain disorder and his life was about to drastically change. With growing complications, he became homeless. Because of the situation, they found the silver lining that gave them the spark to help more people in their son’s situation. That is how Backpacks for the Homeless started.
