WE SERVE! What does that mean for Colleyville Lions?
Colleyville Lions serve our communities by becoming involved. We offer many opportunities at various times of the year. Some activities provide support for other non-profit organizations. Our four annual fundraisers provide funds supporting our community in the following causes designated by Lions Clubs Internationally: Vision, Diabetes, Childhood Cancer, Hunger and Environmental. WE SERVE and WE CHANGE LIVES!

CLC SERVICE PROJECTS & FUNDRAISERS
ALL YEAR: Free Vision Screening for children and adults in our community. Vision screenings help identify potentially serious vision problems that could lead to blindness.
ALL YEAR: Eyeglass Recycling Center – Colleyville Lions meet the 3rd Saturday each month at the Watauga Recycling Center evaluating, cleaning and cataloging donated eyeglasses from 9 AM to Noon. Glasses are packed into boxes according to prescriptions and stored until volunteer humanitarian groups need them.
January – SafeHaven Celebrity Chef – Mid-Cities SOS & SafeHaven host this event in an effort to end domestic violence. Colleyville Lions staff various booths, wait on tables and act as spotters during the auction. Any Colleyville Lion who has participated in this event will tell you its lots of fun for a good cause.
March – Knights of Sight Golf Scramble – One of our four major fundraisers held at Texas Star Golf Course. This is a half-day event that needs sponsors, players and staff to work flexible shifts. Even if you aren’t an avid golfer, there is still lots of ways to participate – and for brave non-golfers there are the “duffer” teams. See the CLC Committees for contact information.
March or April – Easter Egg Festival – One of our four major fundraisers held at Crown of Life Lutheran Church the Saturday before Easter. This is an event for the whole family! Vision screening is available for children, prizes for every age group, age-designated bounce houses, face painting, and photos with the Easter Bunny. See the CLC Committees for contact information.
April – Texas Lions Camp Workday – Lions across the state assemble in Kerrville for the annual workday weekend. Our club is tasked with splitting wood for the nightly summer bonfires where campers celebrate their daily accomplishments.
September – Hole-in-One Shootout – The annual Hole-in-One Shootout is at Bob Moore’s Sports Center. This 3 day event needs sponsors, players and staff to work flexible shifts at the Registration Tent. See the CLC Committees for contact information.
October – Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Colleyville Lions Club has a team participating in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Our Team Captain is Lion David Phelps.
December – Breakfast With Santa – Colleyville Lions prepare a sausage and pancake breakfast for the surrounding communities. Children can get a photo with Santa. Local middle school choirs entertain participants with Christmas Carols during the event. We need volunteers to assist with registration, Santa’s photo booth, cooking, serving and cleanup. See the CLC Committees for contact information.

FORM TO REPORT SERVICE ACTIVITIES – Click Here
Colleyville Lions – Let’s get those Service Hours into the system. Why? Your service hours are needed to apply for grants that allow Lions to expand programs to help as many as possible. You cannot report your own hours. Only the Club President, Secretary or Club Administrator can enter your hours. This Fillable Form should make it easy for you and your Club Secretary – “Save As” to your desktop and send it as an attachment at the end of each month to the club Secretary: colleyvilleliondeb@gmail.com
