Class of 2027

Ten $5,000 scholarships.

For the Class of 2027. Most local scholarships are a few hundred to a few thousand dollars. Ours are $5,000 each, and we give ten.

Download the application Fillable PDF, 8 pages. Type into it and save, or print it and fill it in by hand.

Who can apply

  • Live in the City of Colleyville, attend a Grapevine-Colleyville ISD school, or both. Either one counts.
  • Graduating from high school in the 2026-27 school year.
  • At least a 3.0 unweighted GPA.
  • Starting at a university, community college, or trade school in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028, at least half-time.

How it's scored

100 points in four equal parts: academics; activities, leadership and athletics; community service; and three short written answers. A steady job or family caregiving can count in place of athletics, and career certifications count the same as AP classes.

  • Five copies of your resume and application, stapled together.
  • One official transcript, sealed and signed across the seal by your school.
  • Two letters of recommendation, one from a teacher and one from a community leader, each sealed and signed across the seal. No letters from family.

Straight answers.

The questions people ask us most before their first breakfast.

I'm busy. How much time does this take?

Breakfast is about an hour and you're at work by 8:15. Projects are one morning or one shift at a time, and you choose which ones.

Is it an older crowd?

What does it cost?

Members pay yearly or twice-yearly dues. Ask us at breakfast and we'll give you the current amount, no pressure.

How can I donate to the Colleyville Lions Club?

Give through the Colleyville Lions Club Foundation. Scan our QR code with your phone's camera, or give online in about a minute.
